A Days Piking - Selby 3 Lakes

Well friday came so i text the owner of selby 3 lakes to see if it was fishable after all the ice and snow and was told it wasnt and he would let me know saturday, so saturday come and got the text id been waiting for and it was good news!!! pond was fishable! great :D
i think i got a bit ahead of my self thinking it would fish well as no one had fished it saturday but how wrong i was!... think the ice melting so fast had threw them off the feed, but been the determined angler i am i wasnt gonna let that stop me. :P

Got there about 8ish for opening time to find it was still shut! we waited til 8:30am before it got opened, poor stuff from the manager of the lakes, we were promised it would be open at 8.
i choose a peg close to the car park in the corner as its the deepest part of the lake, rods were cast out, recasted every hour, 10am come and my steve (a bloke from ebay who bought my milo box came to collect it), was sat talking to him for a bit and my right hand rods beeps! a run!!!!!!!!! or not! :( the pike picked the bait up and dropped it. The pike in selby are very very wary, it does see a fair bit of action i must admit....
Ste left about 11ish and i desided it was time to move, if there pike werent coming to me i was going to them.
So over the course of the day i jumped from peg to peg without a sniff, my mate had one dropped bleep same as me and there was another guy on the pond who didnt have a sniff either...
4pm come and id had enough so i packed up and just laid on the floor on my unhooking mat chilling out til my mate had packed up.. heres the view from my unhooking mat :D

so jumped in the car and off we went! i always enjoy the journey home cause we like to wind people up when driving past... so if you ever get someone screaming at you like a girl and its caused you to shit your self then its probs me or my mate gary!!!
